Phil Darrigo, age
73, entered into eternal life Friday, January 26, 2007. Born in
Albany, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had
worked for the Albany Protective Service for 23 years and then
became manager of the Italian American Community Center for many
years. He later became an environmental specialist for the Religious
Sisters of Mercy. He was past president of the IAABO from 1985 to
1987 and then became an honorary member of the National Basketball
Hall of Fame. He was a communicant of the Church of Christ the King
in Westmere. Son of the late Phillip A. and Rose J. Torre Darrigo.
Beloved husband of Barbara J. Babcock Darrigo; loving father of
Kevin Darrigo and his wife Andree of Albany, Christopher Darrigo and
his wife Gail of Albany, Gerald Darrigo and his wife Kathy of
Edgewater, Fla. and Mary Lou Campbell and her husband Larry of South
Daytona, Fla.; cherished brother of Virginia A. Darrigo.
